To disable pop-up ads and sites that show intrusive or misleading ads, follow the steps given below.

  • Click chrome customization or control chrome at the top right corner
  • Click Settings
  • Go to Advanced
  • From Privacy and Security menu click Content settings
  • Pop-ups and redirects by default this option is set to block. If it was allowed, make sure to disable it.
  • Moreover, you can add a certain site URL in the block or allow a list of pop-up ads and redirects.
  • Ads (Blocked on sites that show intrusive or misleading ads) by default this option is set to block if it was allowed make sure to disable it.

Solution 4: Reset your browser Settings

If again you see any ads from chrome on your desktop screen then the last solution is to reset your browser settings. Resetting your browser settings will make the Chrome in the default setting.

2. At the bottom click Advanced
