Apple Releases First watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and visionOS 26.5 Betas

Apple has released the first developer betas of watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and visionOS 26.5 for testing, arriving about a week after the public rollout of their respective 26.4 updates.

The new betas are part of Apple’s coordinated release cycle across its platforms, giving developers early access to the next incremental updates ahead of wider testing and eventual public release.

The watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and visionOS 26.5 developer betas are now available for installation through the Settings app on each supported device. Access requires a free Apple Developer account, as these releases are currently limited to developer testing.

At this stage, Apple has not detailed any major new features in these updates. Historically, incremental releases for watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS tend to focus more on under-the-hood improvements such as bug fixes, stability enhancements, and performance tuning rather than introducing significant user-facing changes.

Apple is expected to expand testing to public beta users for watchOS 26.5 and tvOS 26.5 sometime in April. However, visionOS 26.5 is likely to remain limited to developers during this testing phase.
