Newburyport Skatepark was built by Airspeed Skateparks and is such a great outdoor facility for the kids. During peak times, there are a lot of them around!
Since its opening in 2002, this park has always been one of the very well-maintained skate parks in Massachusetts, so you’ll find the concrete super smooth here.
Newburyport Skatepark does require all skaters to wear helmets and pads on the concrete surfaces and only allows inline skates and skateboarders.
And because it’s so family-orientated, you won’t find a huge skateboarding culture here. It has a simple setup of ramps, stair gaps, manual boxes, and more, which are well worth checking out. As this park is behind a school, it doesn’t open until the afternoon.

Everett Skatepark – Skate Parks In Massachusetts
If you’re looking for skate parks in Massachusetts that are excellent for beginners, then Everett Skatepark is the place to be! It’s an outdoor skate park, and all surfaces are concrete.
Pads and helmets are mandatory for all skaters at Everett Skatepark. If any skater is found skating in the park without the proper gear, local police issue you with a summons. So rules are pretty strict here.
There is no lighting available at this park; therefore, skating is only allowed during daytime hours for everyone’s safety.

Oak Crest Cove Skatepark
Oak Crest Cove Skatepark is an outdoor skate park. Not only is it one of the most well-designed skate parks in the state, but it is also one of the newest skate parks in Massachusetts where skaters can grind, carve and tweak those tricks.
It only opened up in June 2020. There are a lot of young locals that use this park, so you must be aware of those around you while skating. But it is used by beginners and experienced skaters, and bikers.
Oak Crest Cove Skatepark is not only open to skateboarders, but to rollerbladers, BMX, and scooters too. And there are so many excellent features here, including a 6ft and a 9ft drop-in, vertical props perfect for all levels, rails, lots of ramps, manual boxes, an amoeba bowl, and a flow-course bowl.
All users 16 years and under are required to wear a helmet. Knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended. And it is advised that the less experienced or, the younger users wear gloves and wrist supports for their own safety.
No pets are allowed in this park.

The Edge Indoor Skatepark
If you’re looking for indoor skate parks in Massachusetts, then you have to check out The Edgeor Skaters Edge as it’s also known. With over 30,000 square feet of superb terrain, this is the largest skate park in the state.
There is no shortage of space for the perfect runs with so many obstacles. The street section has hubbas, so many rails, and plenty of stairs to explore. Plus, there’s a snake run bowl, a vertical section that’s filled with half pipes and quarter pipes.
The Edge was specifically designed to give skateboarders, scooter riders, inline skaters, and BMX riders something to challenge themselves with, no matter their ages or skill level.
This indoor park has special beginner zones, so no one will need to worry about taking learners out. There are also scooter and skateboard clinics run here during the summer break.
The minimum age to skate or ride at The Edge Indoor Skatepark is 5 years old.
Those watching have a dedicated lounge space that’s caged off to prevent being hit by any runaway boards. This is a perfect way to protect spectators and avoid crowded ledges.

Green Hill Skatepark – Skate Parks In Massachusetts
Green Hill Skatepark is an outdoor park located in Worcester, MA. It is one of the older concrete skate parks in Massachusetts. It is more challenging, but at the same time, it’s a super fun one.
This skatepark is split into two sections; the flow/street area and the bowl. The street area is shallow and has a speed bump. It also has ledges and rails that are more on the gnarly side and not for all skaters.
The bowl is deep and peaks at 12 feet. It gets very vertical with extensions, and it is rather tough to get to. The waterfall is too steep to pump for speed, and the drain is known to swallow most wheels quite easily.
So, all in all, this particular skate park is not the easiest to skate and definitely won’t be everyone’s first choice of parks to go to when wanting to pull off tricks. However, Green Hill Skatepark can still keep you very entertained for the day.

Ryan C. Joubert Memorial Skatepark
Ryan C. Joubert Memorial Skatepark is one of the larger outdoor skate parks in Massachusetts. This park is 13,000 square feet, and it was created in honor of Ryan, the 16-year-old who was in a car accident and died in November 2000. He used to travel all around Massachusetts to skate.
It’s a well-maintained park with a clover bowl, half-snake run, and there’s a couple of rails with lots of quarter pipes. Right next door to a BMX park, so there shouldn’t be many bikers around during your session.
RCJ Skatepark is always full of kids and teens who have a passion for skating. They’re at the skatepark, ripping it up every day between April and November. Skateboarding clinics are super popular here in the summer for ages 5 – 17 years old.

The park features a solid 5-foot pool-style bowl with an over-vertical pocket, a half-bowl flowing into a clean street section, plus a stair gap, hubbas, rails, quarter pipes, and banks. There’s even a nearby playground, making it a great spot for families.
Unity Skatepark welcomes skateboards, rollerblades, BMX bikes, and scooters. It’s open from dawn to dusk and completely free to use.
Quincy Skatepark
To round off the list, this updated park in Quincy is a small but fun community spot. Renovated in 2020, it now includes a mini ramp, quarter pipes, a fun box, and plenty of flat space with street-style features like rails and volcanoes.
Unlike many parks, helmets and pads aren’t required, which makes it popular with more experienced skaters looking to practice freely. It’s also unique compared to other parks in nearby Boston.
