iOS 27 Siri Update Will Allow Users to Make Multiple Requests at Once

The upgraded version of Siri expected to arrive with iOS 27 may be capable of handling multiple commands within a single request, according to a report from Bloomberg.

With this improvement, users could issue multi-step instructions that Siri would execute seamlessly—for example, getting directions to a destination and then automatically sending those directions to a contact in a message.

Siri has traditionally been limited to handling one command at a time, and it has struggled to process more complex requests with multiple steps. While it can respond to follow-up questions without requiring the wake word again, each request still needs to be issued separately.

That could soon change. As part of Apple’s ongoing Apple Intelligence initiative, the next-generation version of Siri in iOS 27 is expected to support multi-step queries—allowing users to complete more complex tasks with a single request.

Beyond that, Siri is also set to become far more context-aware. It will be able to understand personal data, recognize what’s currently on the user’s screen, and perform actions across multiple apps more seamlessly. Apple is also reportedly working on a feature that allows Siri to access and summarize web-based information—potentially branded as “World Knowledge Answers.” In addition, integration with Image Playground could bring image generation capabilities directly into Siri.

Apple is also experimenting with an AI-powered keyboard that goes beyond basic autocorrect. This upgraded keyboard could suggest grammar improvements and alternative phrasing, though it’s still unclear whether it will be ready in time for iOS 27.

More broadly, Apple aims to evolve Siri into a chatbot-style assistant capable of competing with platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Unlike traditional voice assistants, these systems can naturally handle multi-part requests and complex instructions. To support this shift, Apple is reportedly developing a standalone Siri app for conversational interactions, while still deeply integrating Siri across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

The revamped Siri experience is expected to debut with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, which Apple will preview at WWDC 2026 starting June 8. However, it’s unclear whether all features will be available in the initial beta. While Apple is aiming for a broader rollout by September, some capabilities may arrive later in updates—potentially as “Preview” features, similar to the early rollout of Apple Intelligence.
