Cheers at The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery

Looking to enjoy a few cold ones on your Amarillo getaway? The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery is the perfect place to kick things off—just make sure you’re over 21!

Are you in the mood for a classic, freshly brewed beer, or do you want to indulge in a craft or specialty brew? Prefer something more traditional like a crisp lager or ale? Whatever your taste, The Big Texan has you covered.

What sets this brewery apart is that every beer is brewed right on the premises, ensuring maximum freshness with every sip. Some of the best beers in the state are waiting for you here.

And it’s not just about drinks! The Big Texan doubles as a restaurant, serving up juicy steaks, hearty burgers, and plenty more to satisfy your appetite while you enjoy your brew.

One thing’s for sure—visiting The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery is an experience you won’t forget!

2 Jack Sisemore Traveland RV Museum

Are you a car lover? Have you ever wanted to travel back in time to see some vintage cars?

If you have, your dreams can finally come true at the Jack Sisemore Traveland RV Museum!

This is no ordinary museum. As a matter of fact, the entire museum consists of vintage cars that you won’t see on the road anymore.

There are vintage cars of all types for you to browse through. Unfortunately, none of the vintage cars are for sale.

So, you’ll simply have to enjoy the spectacle of each vehicle’s existence.

Most of the cars that you will see were built in the 1900s. However, each vehicle that is displayed in the museum is in mint condition.

That is despite the fact that you won’t be able to buy any of these cars.

Well, you might be able to buy one if you are a millionaire, but such collectibles don’t come at a cheap price.

If you have children that enjoy vintage vehicles, you can make your visit to Jack Sisemore Traveland RV Museum a great family experience.

Otherwise, if you are a lone wolf, you can admire the four-wheeled spectacles on your own.

One thing is certain, this car museum will “drive” you out of your mind! No pun intended.

3 Amarillo Zoo

Are you looking for family-friendly things to do in Amarillo? If you are, be sure to take your little ones to Amarillo Zoo.

This may not be one of the biggest zoos that you’ll find in the state. However, it’s definitely one of the most interesting zoos in the area.

There is a diverse range of awesome animals for you and your little ones to explore.

The zoo has everything from ordinary animals such as monkeys and birds to more rare animals such as lions and bears.

Just remember that the main rule is to look without touching. I should go without saying that trying to pet a lion or a bear is a bad idea!

There are also spacious patches of grass where you and your family can take a break.

So, don’t forget to pack your picnic baskets. Someone is bound to get hungry along the way.

If you are looking to give your kids a “wild” experience where they get to learn new things about a variety of animals, be sure to bring them along to Amarillo Zoo.
