Here’s a look at some of the very best dining options this charming coastal town has to offer, from fresh seafood and classic Maine fare to bakeries and upscale experiences. Each spot is worth visiting during your trip to Ogunquit.

1. Beachfire Bar & Grill

Price: $

Address: 658 Main Street, Ogunquit, ME, 03907

Hours: Wednesday – Friday (16:00 – 21:00), Saturday and Sunday (11:30 – 21:00)

If you have not already worked out from the name, Beachfire Bar & Grill specializes in smoked food. So, they enjoy getting creative in the types of food they smoke. And that includes BBQ, cheese, and seafood! Almost every item on their menu is made from scratch and is fresh and delicious.

I tremendously enjoyed this restaurant because of its reasonable prices, friendly staff, and the fire pit patio! The fire pit patio is really the big drawcard here. They light the fire pit regardless of the weather. Therefore, you’ll see it burning well into summer or even in the midst of a snowstorm!

From their menu, I highly suggest the short rib ravioli served with smoked parmesan sauce or the pulled pork. The pulled pork is smoked for 13 hours and served with a mouth-watering BBQ sauce.

2. Ogunquit Lobster Pound

Price: $$

Address: 504 Main St, Ogunquit, ME, 03907

Hours: 17:00 until late Well, it wouldn’t be a list of the best restaurants in Ogunquit Maine without a lobster joint! Maine is well-known for lobster and as Ogunquit is a coastal town, it just makes sense to serve this delicacy.

The Ogunquit Lobster Pound has been going strong for several generations. The restaurant opened its doors in 1931 and has since gone from strength to strength.

This is one of the few places in town where you can select a live lobster to be cooked for dinner! They charge their live lobster by the pound and sizes range from 1 and ¼ to 4+ pounds per lobster.

The live lobster is perfectly boiled in Gulf of Maine seawater and expertly cut and cracked for easy eating. Therefore, I highly suggest opting for this choice when dining here.

However, if you’re looking for something different on the menu, I also suggest the grilled swordfish. This dish is served with tangy mango salsa and is, therefore, extra delicious. Although seafood is the main attraction at this restaurant, they do have salads, sandwiches, and@ogunquitlobsterpoundpas@ogunquitlobsterpounda as well.

3. So Zap

Price: $

Address: 185 Main Street, Ogunquit, ME, 03907

Hours: Thursday to Sunday, 16:00 – 21:00

So Zap is a wonderful little Thai place and is situated in the heart of town. It is one of the few exotic restaurants in Ogunquit Maine and is known for its delicious food. Zap is a slang term in the Northeastern Thai dialect and it means “delicious”, quite literally.

The menu will delight your transcontinental tastebuds with offers like drunken noodles, pad thai, and Panang curry. I also highly recommend the crispy wontons and the surprisingly refreshing Tom Zap soup. This creation of their own invention features lemongrass, lime leaves, and cilantro – a wonderful combination.

So Zap also offers customers the ability to place online orders, so you can enjoy their delicious fare at home! However, if you do want to head out on the @sozapmaineown, their am@sozapmaineiance won’t disappoint either.

This classy establishment is the embodiment of restaurants in Ogunquit Maine. It is a classy and stylish place that serves delicious food with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The menu is seasonally crafted by Chef James Walter and he was named the 2016 Chef of the Year. For starters, I highly recommend the grilled octopus or the Maine clam chowder. Of course, you cannot go wrong with seafood in Maine because that is what this place is known for. However, if you feel like veering away from seafood, the veal polpetti is astounding.

For mains, I highly recommend the Maine lobster risotto or the grilled elk loin. These dishes are synonymous with Main@fiveorestaurant and wil@fiveorestaurant be expertly crafted by a renowned chef.

The Backyard Coffeehouse and Eatery is a rustic little artisan coffee and sandwich shop. It is on the Main Street of Ogunquit but behind Cumberland Farms, from there the name.

This little place is wonderful because it is cozy inside but also has a sunny patio for an afternoon lunch. It is also entirely family-friendly because it has a full kid’s menu and both gluten-free and vegan options. So there really is something for everyone to enjoy!

As you may have guessed from the name, this restaurant focuses on Maine lobster and other seafood dishes. Pop in for a visit and you’ll see live lobsters in tanks filled with ocean water straight from Perkins Cove.

Chef Derek Dolliver is at the helm of the kitchen and he is focused on producing creative and quality dishes. A relatively new restaurant, Cornerstone Artisanal Pizza & Craft Beer has been making a name for itself since 2012. Many of the restaurants in Ogunquit Maine are very old, but there is no reason why a new one can’t be just as good. Cornerstone is known for its artisanal stone-oven pizzas and an impressive range of local and imported craft beers.

Pizza is comfort food at its best and you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who dislikes pizza entirely. I know that when I’m traveling, I like to seek out the local fare. But sometimes you just get a hankering for something familiar.

Their menu is exciting and fresh with interesting flavors and innovative creations. If you’re looking for something simple, I highly suggest the Not@cornerstoneogtSo Traditional Margherit@cornerstoneogt.
