1. Front Floor & Keel
-
Keel section altered to improve airflow under the chassis.
-
Spine-style baffle now hides the bib stay (previously a separate fairing).
-
Floor fences taller and less tilted for better airflow management and stability.
Effect: Improves front-end downforce and floor efficiency, aiding cornering grip.
2. Deflector Array
-
New dual baffle flaps on the lower half of the secondary skyscraper element.
-
Revised bracket system to integrate with floor.
-
Slat ratios and trailing edge shapes adjusted for smoother airflow and reduced turbulence.
Effect: Helps manage airflow along the floor to rear diffuser, improving aerodynamic efficiency and reducing wake for following cars.
3. Engine Cover & Cooling
-
Redesigned engine cover with a more linear top deck vs. flared “nostril” design used in Bahrain.
-
Updated cooling louvres and rear cooling arrangement for better thermal management.
Effect: Keeps temperatures optimal while minimizing drag penalty from larger cooling openings.
Overall Goal
-
Maximise aerodynamic efficiency under new 2026 regulations.
-
Improve car balance and cornering performance.
-
Enhance reliability and reduce turbulence impacting following cars, crucial under the new rules with active aero and energy management.
