Chinese leaker Ice Universe has reportedly shared an image showing four camera plateau protection plates that appear to align with recent color rumors for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models.
The components in the image are said to match finishes that correspond to the latest rumored color options, offering an early look at how Apple may differentiate the rear camera design across variants. While the leak does not confirm final production materials or official colors, it adds to the growing set of rumors surrounding the design direction of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
As always with early supply chain leaks, these parts may represent pre-production components or prototype testing hardware, so final retail designs could still change before launch.
A recent leak is adding more detail to the rumored color lineup for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Last week, a Macworld report suggested Apple is working on four main color options for the devices: Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Dark Gray, and Silver. Now, Chinese leaker Ice Universe has shared an image showing four anodized aluminum camera lens protector plates that appear to align closely with those rumored finishes.
The pieces in the image are labeled black, silver, wine red, and blue. However, these are not actual phone components—they are third-party camera cover accessories intended to match expected color schemes. The “black” label is believed to correspond to the rumored dark gray finish, and according to Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital, Apple is not planning to include a true black option for its next Pro models.
If the leaks are accurate, the mapping between rumored colors and accessory labels would look roughly like this: blue aligns with light blue, wine red with dark cherry, black with dark gray, and silver remains unchanged.
It is important to note that all four colors are still said to be in development, meaning Apple could still adjust or replace them before launch.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to be announced in September, alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The foldable device is rumored to have a more muted color palette of its own, with shades like silver, white, and indigo currently being discussed in leaks.
