Post-Apocalyptic Train Heists, Crafting, and PvP Await in Enginefall, With an Open Playtest This April

The upcoming Enginefall is aiming for a 2026 launch, with an open playtest scheduled from April 7 to 14. The game was recently showcased in a new trailer during FGS Live From GDC, following the Future Games Show Spring Showcase.

In Enginefall, you and your friends play as scavengers in a post-apocalyptic world, raiding massive megatrains for resources and valuables. Starting from the rear cars, players plunder loot to craft upgrades and build makeshift bases to respawn. Progressing forward, you’ll face tougher challenges and richer rewards, eventually reaching the first-class cars and even the train’s conductor. You can also upgrade your own Dagger shuttle, a small train with multiple carriages, workshops, and defenses.

The game emphasizes cutthroat PvP, as other teams can raid your megatrain while you attempt to protect or steal valuables. Cooperation is also possible, letting players share their spoils if they choose.

Enginefall doesn’t have a fixed release date yet, but you can follow the game and wishlist it on Steam to stay up to date on the latest news.
