Rover’s Tale from Team17 takes players on a cosmic adventure with dogs-turned-robot explorers. Shown at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, powered by HyperX, the game transforms the consciousness of departed dogs into Laika Rovers, robotic companions who roam the planet Tera II to research and capture exotic creatures, inheriting their abilities along the way.
As a human player, you’ll traverse challenging terrain, collect creatures, and upgrade your tools to explore the world. Along the way, you can wake other Laika Rovers, help them recover lost memory tapes, and uncover the secrets of ancient temples linked to a vanished civilization, all while navigating a heartfelt and emotional story.
Rover’s Tale is planned to launch later this year on PS5 and PC, and you can wishlist it on Steam to stay updated.
