New Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Gameplay Highlights Monster Conservation Alongside Carving

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection received an exclusive look at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, powered by HyperX, courtesy of Capcom and community manager Joe Bustos.

Players take on the role of a young prince or princess, heir to the kingdom of Azuria, the last Rathalos Rider, and leader of the country’s Rangers. As civil unrest brews and a mysterious crystal encroachment spreads, you must explore a beautiful, stylized world, battle wild monsters in turn-based combat, and lead your ranger team alongside your royal palico, Rudy to uncover the truth and prevent disaster.

Combat uses a rock-paper-scissors system—Power, Speed, and Technical—with options for close- and long-range attacks and the new Synchro Rush ability, allowing the entire team to deal massive damage. Defeating monsters provides materials for crafting stronger weapons and armor to tackle tougher threats.

Twisted Reflection also expands the monstie-raising system, introducing habitat restoration to nurture endangered species, repopulate areas, and hatch monsties with special traits and mutations, including Chatacabra, Rey Dau, and Arkveld.

The game launches on PC, PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X on March 13, 2026, and a free PC demo is available now, with demo progress carrying over to the full game. Players can also wishlist it on Steam for updates.
