The legend returns
The 7th Guest Remake, the reimagining of the iconic 1993 puzzle game, was revealed during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase powered by HyperX. Originally celebrated alongside Myst for pushing CD-ROM gaming into the mainstream, the game also earned praise from Bill Gates for its innovative approach.
A haunting puzzle adventure
The game invites players into the eerie mansion of Henry Stauf, where six guests have been summoned under mysterious circumstances. As Stauf lurks in the shadows, live-action performances bring the six unfortunate visitors to life, guiding you through the mansion’s puzzles and revealing clues to unravel the dark mystery—and the prize that awaits.
Classic FMV meets modern polish
While the original’s full-motion video style is faithful to early 90s visuals, the remake updates the look for modern platforms, providing a fresh aesthetic while keeping the original puzzles and performances familiar to returning players.
The 7th Guest Remake will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, though no exact release date has been announced yet.
