Apple Releasing Two New iPhone Apps This Year

Apple is reportedly planning to launch two new iPhone apps this year: an Apple Business app and a redesigned Siri app with more chatbot-like functionality.

The business-focused app is expected to expand Apple’s services for companies, likely providing tools for managing business presence, communication, or services within Apple’s ecosystem, though specific features have not yet been detailed.

The more significant change is the upcoming Siri app, which is expected to function more like modern AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude. Instead of being only a voice assistant embedded in the system, the new Siri app would reportedly offer a standalone interface where users can interact through both text and voice.

This Siri app is expected to be part of Apple’s broader AI overhaul across platforms like iOS 27, with deeper conversational abilities and tighter integration with system features and third-party services.

If accurate, the move would represent a major shift in how Apple positions Siri—transitioning it from a background assistant into a full-fledged conversational AI product.

Apple is reportedly preparing to expand its software ecosystem with two new apps: an Apple Business app and a redesigned standalone Siri app, both aimed at different parts of its user base.

The Apple Business app will target employees and organizations using Apple’s enterprise services. It is expected to let users install work-related apps, access colleague contact information, and request IT or account support directly from within the app. According to the report, this new app will launch on April 14 and will consolidate several existing tools, replacing Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple Business Connect into a single platform.

The app will reportedly be available across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, requiring iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS 26.

Separately, Apple is said to be developing a new Siri app with chatbot-style functionality. This version of Siri would allow users to interact through both text and voice, similar to apps like ChatGPT and Gemini, and would also include access to past conversations for continuity.

The Siri app is expected to arrive later as part of iOS 27, along with updates for iPad and Mac. If accurate, it would represent one of Apple’s most significant shifts in how Siri is used—moving it from a built-in assistant to a standalone AI product.
