Arc Raiders Rejects Electromagnetic Storm Lightning Despite Some Players Loving the Chaos, as Embark Promises Compensation for Recent Server Issues

Embark Studios is officially making an exception to compensate players affected by last week’s loot issues in Arc Raiders. Server problems caused some players to lose their rewards even after successfully completing missions, and while the studio usually doesn’t hand out compensation for every hiccup, the scale of this incident justified it.

The patch also tweaks the Electromagnetic Storm: lightning strikes were hitting too frequently, creating chaotic rounds, so the frequency has been lowered for a smoother experience. Some players miss the mayhem, while others are relieved—there’s always a mix of reactions when weather-driven challenges get nerfed.

Essentially, Embark is balancing fairness and gameplay quality: restoring lost loot where possible and dialing back the storm to keep things challenging without being punishingly chaotic.
