Marvel Rivals Implements “Victim Compensation Protocol” for Players Affected by Malicious Match-Losing and Paid Throwing

NetEase is stepping up in Marvel Rivals to tackle intentional match-throwing. The developer has rolled out a server-wide detection system that combines automated data analysis with manual reviews to catch malicious behavior, with strict punishments including permanent bans for offenders.

To protect players unfairly affected, they’ve also introduced the Victim Compensation Protocol: if your match loss and point deduction were caused by a teammate’s confirmed malicious behavior, the system automatically restores your lost competitive points, and you get notified via in-game mail.

This upgrade comes after third-party sites were paying players to throw matches, and it’s part of NetEase’s broader effort to maintain competitive integrity in Marvel Rivals Season 5.
