Developed by Lightbulb Crew, the creators of Othercide, Ex Sanguis tasks players with commanding elite warriors called Stillae—Kael, Syra, and Liora—against the forces of Stasis to restore life to a dying world. A demo is already available on Steam, letting you try out all three Stillae and explore a variety of skills and unlockable traits.
The game emphasizes strategic planning, often requiring players to think multiple turns ahead. Timeline Effects let you manipulate turn order, while many Stillae abilities can move enemies to create elaborate combos and chain reactions, blending pure damage with environmental strategy.
Ex Sanguis also incorporates roguelite elements, with procedurally generated levels leading up to challenging boss fights, while allowing players to retain some progress and gradually uncover the story of Stasia.
