Yoko and Takahisa Taura shared their thoughts on the new indie game Homura Hime in an interview with Automaton. Taura noted that while Homura Hime was inspired by Nier: Automata, it included a feature that Automata never had: a shooting mechanic where firing consumes a gauge, and the player cannot shoot once it depletes. He admitted to feeling a bit jealous of this design choice, saying it’s something he had wanted to implement himself.
